Lesson 9: 高校の時

Part 1: interview
Find a Japanese student/person on campus and interview him/her about his/her high school days in Japan.

Interview questions:

1.      高校の時、たのしかったですか。どうしてですか。

2.      高校は何時にはじまって、何時に終わりましたか。

3.      高校の時、べんきょうするのがすきでしたか。どうしてですか。

4.      高校のしけんやしゅくだいはどうでしたか。

5.      高校の時、アルバイトをしましたか。どんなアルバイトをしましたか。どうでしたか。

6.      高校の時、しゅうまつはたいてい何をしましたか。

7. あなたの高校では何をしてもよかったですか。

Part 2: write up

(1)   Blog posting: Go to your blog site and post the followings (Due by 1pm on Monday, 9/27):

a)      In Japanese, write a summary of the interview result using ～と言っていました。
Do not list sentences. Instead, organize your summary paragraph utilizing sentence connecters such as  そして、それから、でも、～てform, and reason から.

b)      In written English comment on the interview through the lens of:

ü  Similarities/differences between the US and Japanese high schools, OR

ü  Interesting/new findings about the Japanese high school life, OR

ü  What you want to know more about the Japanese high school life

(2)   Comment posting: Read one of your classmates’ blog entry and post your comments. Your comments can be in Japanese or English. (Due by 1pm on Friday, 10/1)
